Speaking of OFWs....

Don't get me wrong. I'm an OFW. And I'm proud to be. Gets me a little sad sometimes (being away from loved ones and all), but being here for almost three years now, (eeeps, where did all the money go?) I've gotten used to the fact that where I am now is probably where I will stay for a looooong time. Not that it's a bad place to be, like i said, i'm not complaining, i'm just saying.

(I was gonna write about the TV shows i luvlike to watch lately and the songs on my playlist that i play over and over for 24hours, (i've been keeping a draft of these posts for the longest time) but a talk with my supervisor just kinda blew me off a little bit. People can be soooo unprofessional and self-absorbed.)

Like i said, i've been here almost three years. 2 years and 5 months to be exact. I wasn't one of the first batch of nurses who got hired as kinda like the experimental group, to see if International nurses would be benefecial for the hospital. And lemme just say, the first four who were hired were the best so far and thanks to them, we got hired. I was from the third batch and so far, they STILL loved us, not until the 6th or the latter ones came. Sigh.

I'm not saying I'm perfect, as a nurse. I get along pretty well (most of the time, when i'm not in my rotten mood, hehe, which is rare, i swear) with my colleagues, i get the work done, and patients love me. That's what matters. I get by. It's not as easy as i write about it now, but you kinda get used to it and adjust to life the best way you can. Just give it time.

I remember my first few weeks on the job. I was like so scared i was gonna pee on my pants everytime i go to work. I'm not used to the machines, not used to talking to Americans for 12hours sometimes not understanding what they're saying and them not understanding what i'm saying, not used to talking and giving my own sense about the management of some patients to the doctors, but most importantly being alone ALONE in the wilderness working with people who are staring at you and looks at every single move you make and make you feel like an outsider. But look at me now....

Yes, we party with them, hang out, attend their kid's parties and wedding parties etc. Ok, i agree that we all have this individualism, like we don't have the same personality, so some may have a hard time getting along with everybody. But since this is your life now, you gotta adjust and not just bail out anytime you want to. You signed a contract to work for three years, if you can't handle the stress anymore, talk to the Gods that be, and arrange a nice compromise. Which they have always been willing to give to the new nurses who's been complaining since they arrived.

My supervisor was complaining to me about the nurses who just resigned and how they just used them to get a visa and some other crap then leaves them hanging after they've gotten used to living and working here in the states. Four nurses already resigned after passing their boards , not finishing their contract and of course living their floors understaff. A couple just didn't show up, and the other two didn't even go to the nurse managers and officially handling their resignation letters. To think that these are the people who, since they came, had been given a lotta consideration in regards to their assignments, schedules and work loads.

My point is, how's about a little professionalism and integrity? We may not have "utang na loob" as what they call it, to the hospital 'coz afterall we worked hard for all the money they paid us. But the fact that they hired us and helped us get here, isn't that at least one good reason not to leave them hanging and just do what you want to do.( that i know you have all the liberty to do with an immigrant visa.)

I may be one of the fortunate ones who got along pretty fast and well with my colleagues and adjusted with the work setting, but heck, i have friends who had their worst nightmares on the job. But they got over it and now well adjusted to it. If they can do it , how can these special people not? I hope i'm not sounding self-righteous here, but, seriously, grin and bear it, do your job, put on a lil sacrifice, keep the faith and hope that everything will be over soon, and it will. It did.

You might think that the question now is , would you keep a job you don't luvlike for practical reasons? I agree that it's not healthy and so unfulfilling sticking to a job you don't like but it won't hurt to show some professionalism/ integrity while planning for your future and just make sure you don't step on anyone or be a bad person while doing what you think you want to do.

I may not understand where these people are coming from , and maybe they have their own good and practical reasons too, but how about the rest of the Filipinos who wants to try their luck in this country too. Are they gonna trust them now as much as they did the first batch? More importantly, would they be hiring anymore nurses from the Philippines? Poor nurses, the irresponsible ones ruined it for them. sigh.

As it is, the 3 new nurses who arrived a month ago was told that they have to get their boards and pass it in three months as opposed to giving us a year before using a limited permit to review and pass. It was a great help to have a year to adjust and get settled first without having to worry about an exam. Now the new nurses has to adjust to the work place, look for a place to live and review for the boards in three months. Lemme tell yah, that would be tough.

One thing stupid about all these is, the people who are resigning are asked to pay like $500 a month for like 2 years for all the expenses the hospital paid for them to help them come over. Yaaargh. I could buy a good BMW deal with that money. And i'd have a nice car. What would they have with that waste of huge moolah? Nothing. And where's the practicality in all these?

Filipino nurses are highly competent. I'm proud to say it, and i do believe it. No matter how old they are or what school they came from, most of them are still better that the rest of..er..them nurses. The integrity of Filipino nurses are in jeopardy. We (the first few batch) might not be in danger because we 've proven our worth to the medical community, but how about the other Filipino nurses who wants to prove theirs?

I remember on our last staff meeting, my manager handed over a comment slip from one of the patients saying " Filipino nurses are very compassionate. Americans and the rest of the staff should learn from them" Whee! (And to the people who weren't at the meeting, i tell them the comment says...esp Ada...mwahahaha) Some of the americans are probably bummed hearing it, but most of them agree. And that's how Filipino nurses should be remembered by their peers and their patients, caring, compassionate and highly competent.

Not only are we working to give a better life to our families, we're also working for our country. We carry the name of our country in everything that we do. And we should think about all the rest of the Filipinos who, like the rest of us, are hanging on to that American Dream.

So, i'm kinda frakkin' pissed with some people right now. Hmp. Nananahimik kami dito eh.

Valentine's Day...*sigh*

Love it or hate it, you can't avoid it. Like clockwork on the 14th of February, every year. It's Valentine's Day.

A little sad to be alone on this heart shaped holiday? Yes, even the dumpers of the world can feel pangs of regret and loneliness on a day that is completely centered on couple-dom and being in love. So, that's OK , just know that being alone and being lonely don’t have to go hand in hand.

And honestly, i'm a sucker for the senti, cheesy acts of love on Valentines Day. It never really mattered to me if I am with someone or i get anything, but i am always in love on Valentines Day. Love is everywhere. Valentine’s Day isn’t just for lovers. It’s a special day of the year to express your love and appreciation to many people in your life.

Sure I'm on my own, but i'm only alone in body – my spirit is owned by love. (Nyuk, nyuk... corny...accckk!) Love knows no boundaries and you don’t need to be physically with the object of your affections to bask in the warm glow of love on V'day. Kick back, relax and enjoy thinking about the people you love.

Love is sincere, never phony....
Love is faithful.....
Love delights in sharing.....
Love speaks the truth out of a deep caring for the other person......
Love is the gift of self......
Love grows.....
Love keeps company with qualities like patience and kindness.....
Love is something we all need.....
and most of all.....
Love is a gift freely given; it cannot be demanded, required, or extorted....

Here's wishing you all a frakkin' fun Valentine's Day . Stay in love.

Battlestar Galactica Music Video

(I know, i know, not everybody loves Battlestar Galactica, but this music vid from the site is funnee and cheesy too at the same time. Just wanna share it..hehe. Posted the lyrics , so you can sing along. ;-)

http://www.scifi.com/battlestar/video/index.php?cat=features&vid=35344

A New Crew in Town.

Let me tell you about my favourite ship.
Back in '78 it seemed pretty hip.
It wasn't the Millennium Falcon or the Enterprise.
It was the Battlestar Galactica who took that prize.

Sure back then the effects were kinda cheesy
But I loved it like George Jefferson loved his Weezy.
Didn't worry about gravity or anything inertial and
Apollo's hair looked like a shampoo commercial.

But there's a new crew in town and they know how to throw down.
They make the others look like a ship full of clowns.

You're my new Battlestar and you've come so far.
I love the slanted walls and your A-shaped halls.
You're full of Cylon clones and your old fashion phones.
You're a frakkin’ awesome machine,
So much better than the one with Lorne Green.

They had a Daggit and a boy named Boxy.
Now Starbucks a girl and the Cylons are foxy.
For Adama, Eddie Olmos wins the fashion election,
Instead of padded robes he chose a different direction.
Sorry Dirk Benedict, don't want you to loose face
but I’d rather share my space with Kara Thrace.

Baltar still gushes with evil intent but why is he the only one with an English accent?
I love hot number six and her identical twins 'cus on cable they're able to show a lot more skin.

You're my new Battlestar and you've come so far.
I love the slanted walls and your A shaped halls.
You're full of Cylon clones and your old fashion phones.
You're a frakkin’ awesome machine,
So much better than the one with Lorne Green.

You're my Battlestar and you've come so far.
I love your bluish glow and your drunk XO.
I love that you brought back old Richard Hatch.
You're a frakkin’ awesome machine,
So much better than the one with Lorne Green.

SINGLE AND FABULOUS...?/!

Single and Fabulous? Single was fun at twenty, but you wanna ask these women, how fun will all night club hopping be at forty? Filling their lives with an endless parade of decoys and destructions to avoid the painful fact that they're completely alone.
Miranda :
Every couple of years, an article like this surfaces as a cautionary tale to scare young women into marriage. That question mark is hostile. I say, fuck them!

I'm pretty sure, everyone who loooved Sex And The City is familiar with this episode. "They Shoot Single People, Don't They" was the title . And this is also the ep where Carrie (in her column) was asking, "Is it better to fake it than be alone?" .... Uh,.. NO?! Hello?!

Like I was telling someone a couple of weeks back, (and I copy pasted this part of my email to him...hehe..katamaran) .."The worst thing about being single and turning 30 soon is that the people around you think that you are to be saved. And no matter how you tell them you're ok, they still think you have got to get married soon. And as much as you enjoy the life you have right now and just wanna brush off their stupid notions about living a single life, you can't help but get annoyed and try to be defensive. And, looking even a little bit defensive would make them think that you really need to be hooked up with someone coz your life is sad. Do man get that too? I thought i won't be affected at all but i'm getting really annoyed lately. And it's not just from my parents, my cousins, my relatives, my friends, even my friend's friends, my co-workers and my patients too. Sheesh, sometimes i think it's me. Why do people think they have an obligation to hook me up with anyone? And i thought single, good guys are a rarety these days? Why do they always have someone in mind? My line 'I don't date' which i've been using since i came here (meaning NYC) i think was useful. But it still doesn't stop them from giving away my number. (That is why i never answer phone calls, even from friends and relatives sometimes) Hay, the agony of being single and turning 30. Sucks."

I'm not saying that I never need men to make me happy, let's face it, intimacy is part of our personality development. As a young adult (according to Erik Erikson), we are in a conflict between Intimacy versus Isolation. Intimacy is the ability to be close to others, as a lover, a friend, and as a participant in society. But, turning 30 and going through and/ or hearing a lot of stories of failed intimate relationships, you should have a clear sense of who you are and you no longer need to fear "losing" yourself or being alone. Just be glad that you have the ability to love, and be loved.

And I (also) am not saying that women are wrong when they make it their raison d'Etre to find a guy and be married at a specific time of their life. It's probably the influence of her family/ immediate environment. And if they think, that it is their main purpose in life, so be it. As long as they live their lives with no regrets and can stay happy. I just hate it when they (meaning the narrow minded, traditional, no-life folks out there) make it look like, it IS every woman's purpose in life.

I remember one of my co-workers, when i first came, wanted to set me up with some guy she knew was a very nice guy and looking for a girlfriend. Never agreed to date him. Up to this day, she still insists on setting me up for a date with him. Only difference now is, she's setting me up with him..and some more testosterone filled humans. One time she told me...'What do you think you're doing with your life? Why aren't you dating? Are you too proud of yourself that you think you never met somebody that deserves you? Do you wanna rot(or maybe she meant rut) and die without a man? You are a very lonely person.' And i just looked at her and laughed. I think she got my point. It doesn't matter to me, and i don't care what she says. Hehe.

The first thing my patients(at least the alert and oriented ones) ask me when i go to their rooms and introduce myself as their nurse for the night is, 'how old are you?'. Then followed by, 'Are you married?'...But of course, "Why Not?' is next in line. *sigh*. Like i'm expected to explain to them my reasons and tell the story of my life. And much to my annoyance, , some would even continue with, 'Do You Have A Boyfriend?'. Ugh. (Or maybe i'm just pissed 'coz i don't actually have an answer for that, harhar)

Anyways, i don't feel the need to tell everybody that I'm happy, single and fabulous. (Not physically fabulous {eeps! i wish}, but having a fabulous life is what i mean) But since this is my blog, i just want to tell everybody reading this (maybe at least one or two) that i am...with an exclamation point!

I'm living alone in NYC, paying my own bills, helping my folks, helping other people, have a stable job, can still enjoy shopping without fear of getting really really broke by the end of the month ...i can still eat my favorite ice creams and chocolates...and i can still afford and enjoy staying in bed for a week just watching TV, i say, I am single, fabulous, and happy!

(Ok, i know. That shouldn't be my only gauge on being happy and content, but for now, i think it's enough. I know i need more time to mature and be more responsible and be happy on a higher level, but hey, it's not the case in point. Haha.)

Carrie: "
As for me, i decided, instead of running away from the idea of life alone, i better sit down and take that fear to lunch. So, i sat there, and had a glass of wine, alone, no books, no man, no friends, no armour, no faking."

And if the cross-questioning ends with ' Are You Happy?'...I'd say, "Abso-fuckin-lutely!"

Mwah!

Practice lang....

It's no joke, no joke anymore
And i feel like I'm a stranger, turning to you

1. What one experience has made you wisest? Uh, am I? Ehe. Maybe going away and live in a galaxy far far away on my own.
2. Who is the one person you have learned the most about life? Er, mom? I think. I don't usually listen to anybody anyways, even to my mom. Hehe.
3. Who is the one person you have taught the most about life? I don't impart wisdom, coz I don't think I'm wise. Hehe. I'm more of a shoulder to lean on, not someone to get advice from.
4. What is the one most important thing you've ever learned in life so far? That loving is the end all of our existence. But Love is not enough.
5. Who is the wisest person you know or have heard of?
Ay ewan, Doogie Howser? Hehe. Or maybe Gil Grissom.

DVD Marathon

Like I was telling zees the other day, went out to buy me some DVD's at Costco coz they were all on sale. Like 1 season of each show costs like $17. (With the original price of 39 or so, why not pakyawin, right?) Went there like a week or so ago actually and got some already, but I just had to go back and buy some more while they are still on sale.

Unfortunately, when I got there, the ones I wanted to buy are all gone. Friends and the W&G's and Everwood or Lost. Bummer. So I just got a couple (or more) sets and some other movie stuff, that would at least last till the afterthanksgiving sale, where i can buy more dvd's and probably way cheaper. But you have to wake up like 4am to start shopping at 5am coz all stores open 5 am and that's when the sales are really good. (Say, a loptop that costs maybe $1000 would be half the price or like $300 less. No kidding. And no tax too. Shopaholics Day of Fun !) I won't be spending too much though (like I have money to spend, duh). It would be a good day to buy pasalubongs for everyone when I get home by December. Or gifts for Christmas, etc. And it's the best time to buy my digicam (about time!) or an ipod, or a new cdplayer. (coz the one i have right now just keeps on jumping. Overly over used kasi.)

Anyways, so I have new DVD's that would get me glued to my computer or TV again for the next four weeks. And would keep me away from shopping, and thinking too much too. Here's a list of what I just got:

MATRIX, a whole box that includes the 3 movies and according to it, 10 monumental discs with some stuff. I don't even know (or care) what the heck they are. I just wanna buy all 3 movies coz i actually just got to watch the first one and they now come in a box that includes these bonus discs, so buy na nga. Whatev. Maybe i'd switch with someone.

The Lord Of The Rings. All Three of Them cost me like $18. Didn't see any of it but since most men really loved them, what the heck, i wanna find out what the fuss is all about. I started to watch the first one, and, sigh, snoozefest.

Everybody Loves Raymond, 1st and 2nd Season. Who doesnt love Raymond. I was looking for King of Queens but nada.

The OC 1st season. Eto ewan ko why i bought. I think I'm just curious . They're on their 4th season, maybe there's something here that would amuse me.

Gilmore Girls 4th and 5th season. The Fourth One coz it has this really nice Pink color (Or was it the Fifth One? I don't know). And the other one just coz it follows the other one or the other way around.

These ones were not on sale but i just wanna buy them. (stupidly enough, no control whatsoever.) Grey's Anatomy Season 2 and Desperate Housewives Season 2.

House and CSI i wanted to buy b-but they're not on sale...so, maybe next time.

And this ones i ordered from Columbia House. When you are a member, you get discounts so they come out like, more or less 8 dollars each.

Wedding Date. I had to have a copy again because i lost my previous copy.
Love Actually. I decided, since i find it soooo romantic, i have to buy the dvd.
LakeHouse and the Break Up. Keanu and Jen. Love them.
Bring It On. I'm a frustrated cheerleader, what can I say.
How To Lose A Guy in Ten Days. Funny.
Will and Grace final episode. I didn't like it though. I was hoping for a different ending. Like maybe with kevin Bacon on it. Hehe.

So yey, I'm soooo happy. I get so excited everytime i get home from work because I know there's always something new to watch. And there's still my tv too. So many shows, so little time. Tell me, how can you even think of being miserable when you have all these movies and tvshows.

Ciao. :)

The Total Agony Of Being In Love

These are all just blah again, pardon my nonsense ramblings. You can skip to avoid a headache after reading it, or continue reading just to find out what else can I talk about that wouldn't make any sense. Hee. I say, it's love. My ramblings are influenced by the total agony of being in love. Bow.

* Just came from work, and I don't know if coz it's Friday the 13th today(obviously, this was written two days ago), or because my nails broke at the beginning of the shift, or I just woke up at the wrong side of my bed, or because I was soooo starving and didn't have time to eat before going to work....i don't know, but work was soooo freakin sucky last night, and I was soooo overly grumpy, that everybody stayed away from me. They said they were seeing smoke coming out of my nose and ears. I was that grumpy. (I just had my period, so don't blame the hormones too. I say, blame it on the rain.)

* I want that Elmo Tickle me toy too! Nakakahawa. :-)

* Enjoying watching LOST lately. Watched Season 1 twice already. Planning to buy season II and III. Pero parang magastos. I'll buy pirated discs na lang when i get home. Harhar.

* Went to a party yesterday (I think I party too much) and I was pretty much drunk again. Am I an alcoholic? Does alcohol really fill the void? I think it does, a little bit. Hafta stop drinking too much. Hangovers suck!

* It was another confusing tvnight tonight. Amazing Race, Desperate Housewives, ColdCase, Brothers and Sisters(i love it!),CSI, 7th Heaven,Americas Next Top Model,RunAway...and then, Jurassic Park, Legally Blonde, Ghost, Sister Act and Jerry Mgguire are on the movie channels. I think I'm missing the good parts coz i change the channel like every commercial break and then get stuck on one and then miss the other one. TiVO! Konti na lang talaga, TiVO! (Thanks to Neo, i watch each and every single TVshow that's out there now.

* Oh, and McVet might be out soon on Grey's Anatomy. Too much drama going on at Seattle Grace lately, like, blech, too much! And Izzy's got like an 8 million dollar money from Denny's dad. And Burke is still trembling. And McSteamy, oh so yummy. He's like Sawyer (LOST), you hate him sometimes but you just love watching his face frown or grin or snarl. Rawr. Oh and Jack's Dr. Shepherd din pala. And that guy Sawyer killed who sells shrimp, was Meredith's dad. Hehe. Konek these two shows.

* I still don't have a ticket for December and a hotel to stay. Darn it. Maybe I'm not going home. Hmp. Anybody knows a travel agent?

* I just cooked sweet and chili shrimp (again), binagoongan, tinolang manok and sinigang. And i'm on a diet. I just hafta cook. I might bring it to Anamie's place. Pye loves tinola and sinigang. This kid loves my house. She loves counting all my stuff toys and playing with my exercise ball. She's soooo adorable.

Will do the TGIF's and the Friends lines trivia....ciao.

Serious Ugly II

...and i ramble on for 18 pages, front and beck! (hee)

*Went to Blockbuster Video while waiting for a cab a week ago and bought like a dozen previously viewed DVD's. I bought this A Date With Drew Documentary. Funny this guy. He was a fan of Drew Barrymore since ET days pa, and he was like 10 then. I will bring it home for Ate V on December. Drew is such a nice person. Very real.

*I also bought Never Ending Story...and these kids can act! Men, they're even waaaay better than some actors in Hollywood. They are sooo cute that I've watched it 10 times already since I bought it. I wonder why I loved it as a kid, and didnt get scared of the big dog. Hee.

*Went to a party a coupla days ago and I've learned that no matter how drunk you are, if you're put on the spot, mawawala lasheng mo. Hee. Alcohol just drained out of my system.

*Anamie's hubby and daughter are arriving later. We're gonna pick them up at JFK , whee! A lil bit sad coz I'll be alone, ALONE again, but good for her, whee! (She's gonna get some. Mwahahaha!)

*Strawberry with Haggen Dazs Vanilla, Yum! And they have a new flavor, Pineapple and Coconut. Mix some(?) vodka and you have a PinaColada smoothie. As in! Soooo yummeee!

*Just slept for almost 24hours. Believe me, I get enough (more than enough) sleep when I want to.

*If Love is enough, I wouldnt be praying to let go. Ang hirap palang manligaw. Hehe. (Zees, email you later!)

*Anybody loved Love Actually(Hugh Grant)?

*If only I don't miss you guys, and I didn't promise Russell that I'd be her bridesmaid on her wedding, I won't be going home this December.

*Trying to order the Friends Calendar but cant. Just wrote to Danilo (or whoever got my message, hehe). Hope they ship to the US. Keep your fingers crossed!

*I am sooo addicted to Bubble Bath. I get rashes all over now if I don't have a bubble bath in one week. Too much work sometimes.

*My cousin's are wondering if I'm still alive. I haven't talked to them since July.

*I have to buy a digicam fast. I want to.

*The LyricsGalore game I can't play anymore coz I just sent the lyrics of mine. Here's some more I added on my playlist...trip lang.

I WANNA GO HOME

Maybe surrounded by so many people
I still feel all alone, Just wanna go home
Oh I miss you

SOMEONE LIKE YOU

Someone like you
To make it all worthwhile
Someone like you
To keep me satisfied
Someone exactly like you
Just like you

SEASONS OF LOVE
Five Hundred Twenty Five Thousand Six Hundred Minutes
How do you measure a year in a life
How about love?
Measure in love. Seasons of Love

MUCH HAS BEEN SAID
I don't know what to do anymore, I'm crying out for help
Much has been said
But I cant complain
I'm livin it easy
Jobs keeping me busy
It's drivin me crazy

ADIA
Adia I'm empty since you left me
trying to find a way to carry on
I search myself and everyone
to see where we went wrong

WHEREEVER YOU WILL GO
If a great wave shall fall
And fall upon us all
Then I hope there's someone out there who
Can Bring me Back to you

STITCHES AND BURNS
I don't wanna see you anymore
Don't wanna be the one to play your game
Not even if you smile the sweetest smile
Not even if you beg me darling please

And Craig Armstrong's Portugese Love Theme and Glasgow Love Theme.

Yun lang. Bow.

Serious Ugly

I'm not writing some "serious ugly" things in here...(well some of them you might find a little bit ugly, or senseless..ehehe)... I just wanna say it, so there, made it my title. Hehe.

Anybody watch Project Runway? Love it! Laura (one of the four finalists going to Olympus Fashion Week) uses this phrase a lot. Funny way to say 'ugly' but still sounding sosyal. Hehe. But there really were some serious ugly going on, on that season of Project Runway. (For one, Keith being sent home? Some serious ugly indeed!) ;-)

Anyhows, still can't think of anything to write. Coz unlike Laney who goes to hongkong like going to palengke. (I hafta go to hongkong, soon!!!), and Zees who goes to Boracay and flaunts her skinnyskinny self (I have to lose weight, fast!), and Gramps who gets fascinated with teenytiny gadgets,(have to get that ipod, faster!),and Dino who just had +1 niece (I want one of those!), and Aileen enjoying school with the cute married guys, kikay classmates, and other school stuff (I want to be in college again!), and Ate V who is in love and posts a pic of her NG proudly, (ehem, no comment).....unlike everyall who doesn't write any serious ugly at all....I, on the other hand, still can't find anything un-ugly to write about. Hehe.

If I had my digicam, I'd take pictures na lang din, but then again...i have yet to own one.Nyeh.

So I'm rambling on about anything that comes to mind:

* I ate a box of KrispyKremes a couple of days ago. ONLY half a dozen, not a dozen. Still, too much donuts! Then a big bottle of iced tea after. (You bet I got so hyper, played the guitar for 12hours afterthat. :-)

*Watched(for the first time) Chronicles of Narnia and i sobbed so hard, it's like McDreamy just died. (Over 4 kids and a beaver, seriously?!)

*I have probably 20 books(or more) lined up to be read,( bought them like a year ago) catching up dust in my living room. (And i still find myself bored and have nothing to do most of the time. )

*I've been up for 29 hours. Don't wanna go to sleep coz i might miss the replay of Greys Anatomy at 8.(10 minutes more and it's 8, whee!!!) Why have i been up? Woke up at 1pm yesterday, texted till about 4pm, got ready for work ...worked from 7pm to 8am, went to eat breakfast at Abby's till 10am, talked to zees and sis and anamie till 1200, texted till 3pm, went out to help Anamie buy stuff till 7pmish...now waiting for Grey's Anatomy....After Grey's anatomy, shower then watch Lost Season 1 on DVD till I finally get to zzzZzZ...I have got to sleep and not eat!

*There's a half-italian, half-filipina Miami based chef who's joining Season 2 of Top Chef on bravo. Hope she's good...i think she will do good. Hope she wins.

*I wanna buy an Ipod, only coz I'm tired of hearing about it and i think i just have to have one now. (I don't think I'd have the patience (like Neo) to download, edit,download,edit...over and over, and over...noooo!!!

*If love is enough, i wouldnt have any doubts. If love is enough misery should be over. If love is enough then life could be better, at least for him. Hehe.

*We have this cocktail buckets here where you just have to add water and tequila(for margarita) or vodka(for cosmopolitan or kamikaze) and freeze it tapot becomes one bucket of yummeee cocktail drink na. Aliw!

....And now I lost my ramblings coz Grey's Anatomy just started...Later!

The One With My Playlist

Sound of silence really freaks me out. 24 hours a day, even when (or especially when) I'm getting ready for work or just going out somewhere, it's either radio , or tv or my computer is on just so i'm hearing something other than the (kukulit) squirrels running around the bushes in front of my apartment. (Or the loud stomping of my neighbor upstairs with her big clown feet, or the exhaust humming inside my bathroom). Sometimes all three is on (tv, cd, computer) when i feel the need to drown the thoughts running circles in my mind that if i dwell on them i'd be sobbing, hehe. (Don't you sometimes wish that you can just flick a finger ala-Chandler and make all your thoughts go away? Well I do, most of the time.)

So anyhows, while watching reruns of gilmore girls (jumping to reruns of ER, Project Runway, SpinCity and Becker) and waiting for my pizza delivery to arrive (we love pizza!), and waiting for my laundry to get done...I though of just sharing my musicmatch playlist on my computer.. Like i said, have to drown other thoughts and get busy.

WISH YOU WERE HERE - Pink Floyd - Started to love this song when Marty sang it. (Rockstar INXS)
How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls Swimming in a fish bowl, Year after year.
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found? The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

BRING IT ON HOME TO ME -Sam Cooke - Still, a RockstarINXS hangover. Sounds a little country and i grew up in a family who looooves singing country music. My cousins, that is.
If you ever change your mind
About leaving, leaving me behind
Baby bring it to me Bring your sweet loving
Bring it on home to me

MR.BRIGHTSIDE- The Killers - Okay, i admit, I'm a Marty Casey fan. I loved his choice of songs.
Jealousy
Turning saints into the sea
Swimming through sick lullabies
Choking on your alibis
But it's just the price I pay.
Destiny is calling me.

UNFAITHFUL-Rihanna -Sooo baduy, most of my friends hate it, but it just grew on me. This could be the story of my life, eh? Hee.
Story of my life
Searching for the right
But it keeps avoiding me
Sorrow in my soul
`Cuz it seems that wrong Really loves my company

BREATH-Anna Nalick- Love singing along with this song. I think she's one of the underrated new artists.
There's a light at each end of this tunnel you shout cause you're just as far in as you'll ever be out
And these mistakes you've made You'll just make them again if you'll only try turnin' around
Cause you can't jump the track
We're like cars on a cable and life's like an hourglass glued to the table
No one can find the rewind button girl
So cradle your head in your hands. And breathe

LIVE AND LET DIE-Guns and Roses - Another one of those Rockstar obssession. When I'm getting ready for work...BonJovi, Guns and Roses or Nirvana should be playing or I'll be very grumpy at work. Hee.
You used to say live and let live
But if this ever changin' world In which you live in Makes you give in and cry
Say live and let die Live and let die

CALIFORNIA DREAMING-Mamas and Papas -And then another one. I dont know, but eversince The Blade was playing this on ClassicLite before, melikey.
Stepped into a church I passed along the way
Well, I get down on my knees and I pretend to pray.
You know the preacher likes the cold .He knows I'm gonna stay.

UNWRITTEN-Natasha Beingfield - My sing along tune while on the shower. I have my own choreographed performance of this song already, hehe) Love it!(have to have this or I'll go crazy with all the mushy stuff that's coming..)
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten

FAR AWAY-Nickelback - Swack na swack. Hehe. Straight from the Heart.
I love you
I have loved you all along
And I miss you
Been far away for far too long
I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go
Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore

LETTING GO-Kim Sozzi - Light at the end of the tunnel. My thoughts exactly.
So now I say the things I want to say
Sometimes it's better letting go this way
I'll always know, down in my soul We really had so far to go
I've given all I had to give and now it's time for me to live
and I won't look back and I won't regret
though it hurts like hell Someday I will forget

COLLIDE-Howie Day-Just included it when i read that zees loves it. And it just kinda grew on me.
The dawn is breaking
A light shining through
You're barely waking
And I'm tangled up in you

I WANNA GROW OLD WITH YOU-Adam Sandler- Like, need i say more?
It would be so nice, growing old with you

HOW TO SAVE A LIFE-The Fray-I wonder, as a nurse, have i really saved anybody's life?
Some sort of window to your right
As he goes left and you stay right
Between the lines of fear and blame
And you begin to wonder why you came

CHASING CARS-Snow Patrol-I'm in love, what can I say. Hehe.
I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel
Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough

ME AND YOU- Cassie- I don't like her dancing in the video (Heck, magaling pa pamangkin ko eh)but melikey the beat. (Love to love you baby, aww!)
I know them other guys, they been talking bout the way I do what I do
They heard I was good, they wanna see if it's true
They know you're the one I wanna give it to
I can see you want me too
And now, it's me and you

LIPS OF AN ANGEL-Hinder-Find this song weird. But i keep on wanting to listen to it so there, on my playlist.
Honey why you calling me so late
It's kinda hard to talk right now
Honey why you crying is everything okay

TOO LITTLE TOO LATE-Jojo-Just one of them songs you hear over and over on the radio and grows on you.
So let me go now
'Cause time has made me strong
I'm starting to move on
I'm gonna say this now
Your chance has come and gone
And you know...

BE WITHOUT YOU-Mary J Blige- My thoughts exactly! But all the answers are yes. Aaargh.
I got a question for ya
See I already know the answer
But still I wanna ask you
Would you lie? (no)
Make me cry? (no)
Do somethin' behind my back and then try to cover it up?

WAITING FOR A STAR TO FALL-Boy Meets Girl-This is sooo sweet. Melovey this forever.
Waiting (however long...)
I don't like waiting (I'll wait for you...)
It's so hard waiting (don't be too long...)
Seems like waiting (makes me love you even more...)

And, like our AbsolutEBC CD, my playlist also has a story behind it, but I intentionally wrote it down in random so you won't notice. Hee.

Laundry's done, pizza's here...and somebody's at the door...Later!
