My Latest Snoozetime Playlist...

No matter how much TV shows and movies you can watch over and over, you cant stop your eyes to get droopy and just give up on you. (I will stay glued to my tv if i can though, seriously) And the sudden silence after you shut the TV off is almost deafening. So here goes the music i play , yes, over and over, till i reach snoozeland....

Simple Things
The sun, the moon, the stars
The beating of two hearts
How I love the simple things
The simple things just are

Way Back Into Love
I've been looking for someone to shed some light
Not somebody just to get me through the night
I could use some direction
And I'm open to your suggestion

Everything's Right
Window's down as the night blows in
Tap the beat on the wheel as the tires spin
Until we're there crank the radio
We'll join in with the songs we know

Don't Write Me Off Just Yet
It's never been easy for me
To find words to go along with a melody
But this time was actually something I worked on
So please forgive these few brief, awkward lines
Since i met you, my whole life has changed
It's not just my furniture you rearranged
I was living in the past but somehow you brought me back
Well i haven't felt like this since before Frankie said relax
Though i know, based on my track record
I might not seem like the safest bet
All I'm asking you, is Don't write me off just yet

Jesus Takes The Wheel
Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hand
Coz I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
Save me from this world i've known
Jesus take the wheel
I'll Stand By You
So, if you're mad, get mad,
Don't hold it all inside
Come on and talk to me now
Hey, what you got to hide?
I get angry too
Well, I'm a lot like you
When you're standing At the crossroads,
but don't know, which path to choose
Let me come along, 'cause even if you're wrong

Put Your Records On
Maybe sometimes
We got it wrong but its alright
The more things seem to change
The more they stay the same
Ooo dont you hesitate

I'm Not Ready To Make Nice
Forgive, sounds good
Forget, i don't think i could
They say, time heals everything
I'm still waiting

A Little Fall Of Rain
Don't you fret, M'sieur Marius
I don't feel any pain
A little fall of rain
Can hardly hurt me now
You're here, that's all I need to know
And you will keep me safe
And you will keep me close
And rain will make the flowers grow.

On My Own

And I know it's only in my mind
That I'm talking to myself and not to him
And although i know that he is blind
Still I say, there's a way for us

I wish.....

I WISH I do look like Jessica Alba. This girl is hot! Blonde, brunette, brunette with blonde highlights, or blonde with brunette highlights. She can make everything work. Damn celebs.

I've tried some other photos, and the common denominator was Beyonce. Er... is it the body? Nyuknyuk. Again, I wish!

Thanks for this site Dino!

Who needs food?....

Who cares if I won't be able to afford rent, or food? Who needs food, when you've got some nice boot-boots you saw on sale, 50% off? Whee! *squealing*

I'd wear them all day, all night, even at work if I can. *wink-wink, faint*

Day Of Fun...and looking like a hooker...:-)

Been planning on having a haircut since...well, for so long. This is how i looked a few months ago....

Still decent. Hindi pa mukhang Sadako. But, like i said, a couple of months ago. Imagine how it looks like now. (You know what's not decent? My eyeliner. Hee. I had too much on, ewww!)

Anyways, so, we wanted to go to Fredderick Fekkai at 5th avenue. I know, i know, we couldn't have afforded it but still, i tried to book an appointment, but we can't. So we planned on just going to Chinatown. But just when i'm all ready and dressed up to go to the city, my friends called (and they wanna be called my friends, hmp) and said they're too tired, and don't wanna go anymore. Mga kurimaw. So i decided to go by myself. So this is how long my hair was before i left my house....

Oh, btw, that's my new bookcase in the background. Hindi na nagkalat my books and my dvds. Whee!

And what happened was, the girl who cut my hair, didn't wanna cut my hair too much. You'll see, it looks like it was never cut. And what she did was, layered it on the side, made it look thinner and curled the hell out of it. Look...sheesh!
This actually looks tamed, coz i took the pics when i got home. I walked around the city all day and it still looked like these, can you imagine how it looked like when it was just done? As in, kulang na lang formal dress, para na akong abay. Or should i say hooker?!

And can you tell, my hair is still long!!! I want a haircut! Hmp. I can't argue too much with the girl 'coz she's chinese, hirap ako intindihin. Hehe. I will get it cut a lil bit more next week. She was just too attached with my hair, she might start crying if I insisted on letting her cut it. Sheesh.

Anyways, so when i was heading back to, well, Time Square (planning to just walk around and make fun of tourists, hehe) i got lost, sa laki ng Chinatown. I can't find the other Canal Street subway station. But I wasn't pissed, i have all the time, and i'm all made up so it's good to walk around (even if people think I'm looking for a customer). And then I saw this diner....whee! Monica with the fake boobies! I didn't know this place really existed. Hehe.

Can't make it bigger. Just zoom in. It's by the intersection, East of Canal Street. Forgot exactly what street, but i know how to get there. I was gonna go eat but there's a lot of people and kinda scary looking people were inside so I didn't go in. I wanted to see if the waitresses have fake boobies on too, or if they're on Rollerblades. Hee.

So then, i continued my solitary walk, and found my subway. Funny story, some guy approached me and asked the way to Wall Street. I said just ride the train coming and it's the last stop. He walked away and rode the next train that came. Unfortunately, it went the other way. hee. My bad. Kawawa. Eh malay ko bang sasakay siya on my side. I meant on the other side. Harhar.

Since it was too early, and was actually planning on doing it anyway, i went to AMC theatre to watch Spidey 3. I actually liked it. Better than the first. But the second one i can't remember if i ever saw, so I don't know, but they said the 2nd is the best. Will probably buy me a copy of that.

(Ang laki naman ni Spidey, di ko mapaliit. Hehe.)

I ate a huge pack of nachos and a large bag of popcorn with a large diet coke. Burp. Good thing about going to the movies here is that it's never as crowded as what we have in the Philippines, no matter how good the movie is. 10 auditoriums are showing spidey so there's enough room for everybody. The AMC theatre is really kewl! Pataas siya. 25 auditoriums. 4 on each floor yata. At may bars and restos pa in the middle. So imagine how high the escalators are. Aliw.

Movie, check! Lakad lakad ulit, went to Time Square...ate some pretzels...ate ice ream at Cold Stone, bought new Lingeries at Victoria's Secret (I had a lingerie disaster a couple of days ago btw. I usually soak my lingeries before i handwash them and last week, i accidentally mixed a black thong with the rest of them gems. Ugh. Stains on everything. As in 5 stained Bras , two of them are my new strapless Pinks, and i think a dozen of silk and lace undies. I thought i was gonna have a heart attack! But i survived and I just bought a stain remover, hope it works) and new boyshorts at Gap. It took me till 10pm to walk around and do all that. Hehe. Bought a dozen Krispy Kremes while waiting for my train and bought mags.

Got home at around midnight....sooo tired, never got to watch my recorded shows for the night. Bagsak. Woke up at around 2am...dozing on and off so it took me a long time to finish both my blog entries. Hehe.

Sometimes it's also nice to catch some sun, eat, shop, watch a movie by yourself...heck, it's good to stop watching TV and go out. Period. Hehe. Like Carrie, i think i can take the city as my boyfriend. I don't think it can ever hurt me like Men will. Hehe.

I Love New York!

Casa...In A Galaxy Far Far Away....*_*

Finally able to upload photos of my casa. Not that it has a special theme or something...just so you have an idea on where i bum around all the time. Not at all artistic (saving that for when i get to buy my own house, whee!), but comfortable. The pics were taken like a couple of months ago, i've already got rid of some stuff, put on new furnitures but haven't been able to take pics of them new stuff. For now, here goes my own Matrix....

LIVING ROOM:

Here's what you see when you enter. Sowee, such a mess. Hee. I have a new tv stand, a new book case on the left and got rid half of the mags.

Ayan, maayos konti mga pillows. You probably can't see them, but those are cute little buddhas with their karate poses in the center table. Hehe. And that door leads to my bedroom. Those closets on the right are for coats and shoes. Show you later...

Those framed pictures on the right of the couch...there's one with EBC. :-D I'm planning on putting different shapes and sizes of picture frames at the wall by the back of the couch. A painting is just too, blech. Been planning for two years...never get to do any. Hehe

And here's what I'm talking about...mags. I threw away like 80% before i took these pics, then a little more after....That's John the dog guarding them. Hehe.

Coats, shoes and bags. I try so hard to make these closets neat but sometimes, it's hard. Hee.

KITCHEN:

May basura pa sa ilalim, hehe. And do you see all those chips? Yes, i live on chips and chocs. Bloating alert!

I try to keep my kitchen clean. And I do cook, i just want a nice and tidy kitchen so it looks like it's never used. hehe. I swear, I cook! Look at all the cookbooks i have above the fridge on the next pic.
And op cors, the pics on my refrigerator. Because of digital cams, i don't get to have copies of pics printed anymore. I wish i had more pics. Can you tell i love pics? Hee. And i still don't have a digital cam. Haha.

BEDROOM:
Showed you the way to my bedroom awhile ago...so here goes....This big dog guards my bed. Hehe

My bedside lamp with Mickey and the silly monkey i won at Six Flags.

My bed. it's where i am, almost everytime i'm not at work. hehe. The little green frame by the wall says' When the going gets tough, the tough go shopping!' Hehe. Shrimp the bear (Ally named him after someone to keep me company daw while he's not around, silly goose), Faye the brown spot dog and Jeff the puppy. (Ally wanted this puppy so bad, so i bought her a bigger one, but she wanted this little one. I just can't let go of it. Hehe. Looks soooo real. It's from FAO so it SHOULD be looking nice. Hehe) That's my guitar on the right.

My closet and drawers with all the rest of my furry, and huggable friends. Hehe. Eeyore, Scooby and a dalmatian. Enough stuffed toys! Hehe. Beside the toys is the entrance to more closets, dresser and to the bathroom.

My dresser. It's the neatest it could get. You wouldnt wanna see it on a bad day. Hehe .
See the little dog trying to get some sleep? ' Leave me alone!'Hee. Funny. That's why i bought it.

Lingeries. Neat! Hehe. All drawers in my dresser are filled with my underwear. Adik. Hehe.
And this is one of my closets. May tag pa yung iba. Ehehe.
BATHROOM:

Just had to make it pink. Hehe.

Lotions, potions, name it. I got them all but i don't use them. And there's my burner for my candle lit bubble. Whee!

More...er...potions. Hair stuff and then some more lotions. I gotta moisturize 'coz i don't drink water.

My bubble baths. That's the bath pillow right there. Parang coral. The one at the blue jar is out....so i get a new one, whee!!!!

This i just inserted, took a pic through my cellphone. Bought a new rubber ducky too...and it lights up when you put it in the water. Aliw! Alavit! Thanks. ;-)

And the other side...more shower gels and stuff.

Took like a hundred pics but cant upload them all. Camera happy. Hee.

That's it, pansit. :-P

Les Mis with Miss Lea

My brother Aldwin lived in London for like a year or two some years ago, and he's bragged about the musicals he watched over and over and over when he was there. Since then, i've dreamt of watching real musicals. Since i was in highschool though, i have already been dreaming of watching Miss Saigon, what with all the hoopla over a filipina playing the lead and all. And i got hold of a cassette tape with the Original London Cast singing the songs and i played it over and over (this is when i was in highschool, as you know, i play songs over and over until now, hehe) and to this day, i know all the lines....even the dialogues.

Now, i've seen quite a number of musicals, (thank Gawd i'm in NY!) here and when I was in the Philippines(I was so happy having to watch They're Playing Our Song, Rent,Miss Saigon etc. back home, imagine my excitement coming to NY), but everytime i enter the theater, i still feel the goosebumps and the temporary high I get whenI realize that I am actually living that dream i once had.

And now to the main story. (Dami pang intro, nyuknyuk)

As soon as we heard that Lea Salonga (been a fan of this girl eversince I was a kid. I remember playing soup opera with my cousins, and i always finish the skit with me singing...Little Star, little star. My one dream, is to be where you are....which i loved and memorized 'coz of Lea) will be performing as Fantine in the Les Mis comeback on Broadway, i was ooo excited to go. I harassed my friend Stephanie (who's American by the way and had no idea who Lea was, and is never into musicals...eh, kids, she's 20) and one of my filipino coworker to come with me.

The play was scheduled at 8pm but after work we decided to go straight to the city and do some shopping before we relax and actually watch. So we did. (Hence the pictures taken at Macy's) Was a tiring day, (you could notice my dark circles and dreadful tired face on the pics) but we had fun. Twas really a dream come true watching Lea on Broadway.

Twas the first day of spring when we went so Macy's was having their annual flower decor all around the store. This methinks was the giraffe (masyado matangkad so only half of it can be shown, hehe) made of leaves, petals, little orchids, etc. Really nice!
And this one are the beauteous pink white and red flowers on top of the glass thingies where they put the jewelries. Stephanie, the one at the back, was trying to annoy me and pretended she didn't know that i was taking a picture.

And here's the cool zebra. I swear, they are made of flowers and leaves and er...hay? Ewan. But don't they look really kewl? It smelled like you're in a forrest though.

And here's me and Steph, just waiting for them gates to open.

And here's Lea looking sooo fabulous at 30 something. I don't know if it's make up, but she sure looks pretty even right after the play.

The cast seemed to have gotten used to the tons of people lined up for Lea outside the theatre after a show. Surprisingly, it wasn't just us, Filipinos, but there were foreigners too. It's nice to know, a talented Filipina, is really well known internationally, in a field, as sophisticated/ highbrow as the musicals. I've seen the Les Mis 10th Anniversary production in London on DVD where she played Eponine and I can't help but compare that with the one who played the part in the show. She was also good, but Lea was absolutely better. As Fantine, she's great...and i mean...grrrreat! Hehe.

And looky, she signed my Playbill, whee!!!!

I read the book like 5x when i was in college. It wont hurt to watch the play 5x too. Hehe. I'm planning on watching it again. Seriously.
